I have a couple of friends that are really struggling right now and I want more than anything for them to know that it’s going to be alright, no not just alright, it’s going to be great. God loves you and cares deeply about the exact situation you’re in. He wants nothing more than to give you comfort in the middle of this mess, situation, pit or ordeal. You can absolutely trust Him so quit trying to figure it all out on your own. It may feel hopeless right now, He’s your hope. A part from Him it is hopeless. Please invite Him in, there’s peace to be had even if the circumstances don’t change right away. God’s at work, let Him.

“Everyday God invites us on an adventure. It’s not a trip where He sends us a rigid itinerary, He simply invites us. God asks what it is He made us to love, what it is that captures our attention, what feeds that deep indescribable need of ours to experience the richness of the world He made. And then leaning over to us, He whispers, “Let’s go do that together.”” – Bob Goff, Love Does

Yes Lord, let’s do it.

I think the family of God is much more inclusive than many would have us believe. Scripture tells us His perfect sacrifice is for all. And while we see things only as they are now, He also sees them as they will be. God’s view is always so much clearer than ours. Let’s ask Him to show us what He sees in people and for Him to let us be a part of bringing them into the family.

Empiricism is a theory that states that knowledge can only be obtained from sensory experience and much weight is put on evidence derived from experiments or testing. The atheist would say that because they have not seen, heard, felt, smelled or tasted God, He doesn’t exist. This reasoning seems narrow-minded as it discounts the sensory experience of others in order to be held. The evidence of God is everywhere. The earth and the sky shout His existence or at the very least beg the sincere question, “Who made this?” God invites us to test Him. He wants more than anything to reveal Himself to us but the sincerity of our desire to know plays a huge part in what we will see, hear, feel…

The key is nearness to God. Make room for Him today, invite Him into everything you do, seek Him with all that you have and see Him bring opportunities your way.

Even on our best days: we wake up with a greeting to the Lord, make time for Him, study for a bit and then check off our list and go about our day. We might pray over meals and say our goodnight but how much did we leave Him out of? Imagine what the day might look like if we invited Him along throughout.
