If you only knew how very much I love you and how completely special you are to me, this wouldn’t hurt so much.

Pain and rejection don’t have to go together. Pain is inevitable in this broken world but rejection needn’t follow. God is never the source of our pain He is our relief. If we’ll allow him to heal us, we can then join Him in bringing relief to a world full of pain and rejection.

Jesus says, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.” Our only hope for healing and wholeness is with God. He must be the source of our strength; there is no power apart from Him. We may gain temporary relief from the things we do ourselves but there’s no lasting effect. We’ve merely put a band-aid on something that requires a surgeon.

Jesus says, “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” The load we take upon ourselves is not the load God intends for us to bear. He wants to relieve us. But we have to trust Him enough to let go. Christ is our example.
