Because it’s so easy to recognize our rebelliousness we seldom find similarities between the prodigal’s older brother and ourselves. Too often though, that’s exactly who we become after returning home. We enter into a position of servant-hood rather than family, we become rule keepers and people that are quick to point out how much better we are than those that are still rebelling. This isn’t who God wants us to be.
