One of the words I’ve used most often here is more. The reason is, I think we each truly desire more. It’s not always clear more what, but the answer is more God. Unfortunately our pursuit too often leads to more religion, more or better performance and any number of other forms of bondage that rather than help us to experience more of Him in our lives they appease us.

I am amazed on a daily basis at the way so many of you seek God with all of your hearts. This pursuit of yours speaks volumes to the world around you. It’s not normal. Most of the world ignores His existence altogether while much of the Christian world, wants just enough of Him to squeeze into heaven but not have their lives disrupted too much. Your fervent quest for more of God is truly astounding. There is always more of Him to be discovered and you will not be disappointed as you come to know Him more deeply. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for how your relationship with Him encourages me.

Seeking God is the most wonderful of pursuits. Finding Him in the least likely of places or the most difficult of circumstances fills our hearts with the truth that He is everywhere. We must continue to pursue Him, it is our eternal quest as it’s the fresh encounters that keep our love for Him from going stale and our trust in Him strong.

Trying to get away from God is as futile an endeavor as you can attempt. He’s everywhere, in everything and there is no escape. We all try and some even think they’ve found a way but His pursuit is relentless. No one is immune. For instance- I need someone to show me, the things in life that I can’t find. – Ozzie Osborn (Paranoid). Ozzie feels the Lord’s love for him but asks for help to understand.
