Luke 13:24
“Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able.”

What if the gate is so narrow that we go through just one at a time? Could this scripture be an indicator of God’s desire for intimacy? Is it possible when trying to enter with the crowd we’ll hear, “I do not know you?” Jesus came to invite us into a one of a kind, my love is perfect for you relationship, don’t miss it like so many in His day by clinging to religion others insist you follow.

Don’t Forget

God loves you like He’s never loved anyone before or will again. You are unique and His greatest desire is to have an extremely intimate one of a kind connection with you. This love, this relationship is the very one your heart desires more than anything. Don’t look for it anywhere else that will do nothing but fail, bring heartache and damage those around you. Trust Him, count on His love for you. With Him you lack nothing.

When all is well and everything’s going our way peace is perfectly understandable.

Couldn’t help but reblog this from sethgodin.com

“If someone wants your very best version, that probably means that they’re going to get the same version that you’ve done before, the same as the best version you produced a week ago. If you want the best, it also means that you’re asking someone to repeat what’s come before.

On the other hand, if they want you, right here and right now, it won’t be perfect. It can’t be. It will merely be different and real and in the moment.
The opportunity in any given moment is to share your truth, to light a spark and to leap. But you can’t do that at the same time you’re being perfect.

There is no best jazz performance. That’s why it’s interesting.”

1John 4:12
…if we love one another, God abides in us and His love is perfected in us.

Perfecting love is not our job, when we take that upon ourselves the result is the exact opposite, we end up in the center. When love is selfless and simple, when its roots are in Him; our love is not perfected, His love is perfected in us. This is the kind of love that touches difficult people, this love allows us to love those that disagree with us, this love puts individuals above issues and this love can change the world again.

As we said yesterday, everything good comes from the Lord even the great things that come from those that are unaware of Him. Unfortunately the opposite is also true. We that know Him are just as capable of making poor choices as anyone and while it’s true that we are unable to live perfect lives now, it’s also true that there is no bad decision that we have to make. He’ll always help us find His way.

We all have them. I often apologize to our children for whatever their father issues are going to be. None of us are perfect, even Adam and Eve rebelled and they did have the perfect Father. I hope the key to minimizing the pain and damage our children experience because I’m unable to accurately represent the same perfect love their Heavenly Father has for them, is the ability to admit it. To own up to my shortcomings and point them to The One who truly is able to love them in the completely unique and totally fulfilling way their hearts yearn for.

Don’t believe the lies that will come at you today. No matter how overwhelming the evidence may be, you are perfectly and uniquely loved. The less you entertain the lie the less hold it will have. Be secure in who God made you and how much He loves you.

More from yesterday: The Grand Canyon is so much more than the most amazing natural beauty you can possibly see. It’s also a view like no other into the process God used to form the earth, each step formed upon the other until its perfect completion, not unlike ourselves. He’s in the process of perfecting each of us step by step and layer upon layer. No two identical each with our rough edges to be worn, cut or sanded down in His timing.

Understanding the truth we talked about yesterday, that God loves each of us with a perfectly unique love that truly is all we need, is not only the great news that we require. It is the truth that everyone needs. We must share this, not only in word but also in deed.
