Freedom is scary; in fact it’s so frightening most of us choose to remain imprisoned. Rather than join God in the moment and trust Him with our future we cling to what’s familiar and what we believe we control even when it’s painful and unhealthy. Freedom is more than available, it’s God’s desire and we are presented with the opportunity to choose it constantly. So instead of entertaining the same old thoughts, living according to other’s opinions and staying in our well worn rut; take a chance! Follow your heart, live and love in the now!

Fulfilled

I’ve heard it said that fulfillment in life comes when you discover your purpose. But in addition to that fulfillment lingers as we find purpose in all of our living.
Inimitable

Unique, matchless, incomparable, one and only or incapable of being imitated, very much an attribute or characteristic of Jesus. Yet far too often we’re taught to “act like Jesus”. Certainly the world needs more of Him but does it need more people pretending to be like Him? What’s truly called for is more of the actual Jesus living in and working through us. That’s what He promises to do if we’ll let Him. All that’s required is saying yes, not once but always.
The Secret

The secret to living a Jesus centered life is having Jesus at the center of your life. Okay so there isn’t a secret. Again, “the matter is quite simple, the Bible is very easy to understand…” – Soren Kierkegaard
Abide / Abode

Jesus is our home, when we are instructed to abide in Him scripture is telling us to live in Him. It’s true that this world is not our home but we don’t have to wait till we get to heaven to dwell in Christ. He is here now and we can be right at home with Him.
The Book of Life

“I read somewhere in the Bible that there is a book of life. I don’t think this book of life is full of equations, and I don’t think that it’s just a book of names either. I think that this book of life is more like a book of lives, a book of stories. I bet it’s about people traveling in the direction of Jesus, trying to follow Him. People like me who made lots of mistakes and midcourse corrections. It’s about people who stayed within the large circle of His love and grace, staying the course on a long line pointing toward Him. And their names weren’t in the book because of what they did or didn’t do. They were there because of who God is and what He has done to draw a circle around them.” – Bob Goff, Love Does
Immeasurable Greatness of His Power

This from E. Stanley Jones today, “The resurrection of Jesus is not something in history to be looked at and admired and rejoiced in ; it is something to be appropriated and lived by—something that works in us. The same power, which turned the most abject defeat in history – the defeat of the cross – into the most glorious victory in history – the victory of the Resurrection – is available in Christ now.”
Imagine the implications of realizing this in our lives.
Like Him

2 Corinthians 3:17, 18
God is a living, personal presence, not a piece of chiseled stone. And when God is personally present, a living Spirit, that old, constricting legislation is recognized as obsolete. We’re free of it! All of us! Nothing between us and God, our faces shining with the brightness of his face. And so we are transfigured much like the Messiah, our lives gradually becoming brighter and more beautiful as God enters our lives and we become like him.
Through Me

During a great conversation with my friend Daniel yesterday he said, “I don’t have to try to live like Jesus, I just need to let Him live through me.”

God is the source of everything. He cares about the smallest details of our lives and wants to walk through our greatest triumphs and be there for our biggest ordeals. Joy and peace can only be found with Him. It is possible to be so in tune with Him, so filled and so full that we get to be used to fill others. We can be part of the healing process.
