Is the biggest most believed lie we’re presented with every day. Isolation is one of the enemy’s most effective tools. Don’t listen, don’t entertain the lie and don’t be afraid to share your struggles. God is here with you and for you and He has folks around that want to be a part of His love for you.

Jesus Loves Me

Please don’t just read over this one today. Take a minute and seriously think through this statement: Jesus loves me, this I know. It’s pretty easy for you to believe that Jesus loves others but far too often difficult to trust that He loves you. He does, more than you can possibly imagine but unless you know this and trust Him, that love goes unrealized. Don’t believe the lie, take hold of the truth that you are uniquely and especially loved by the one that knows you better than anyone. He died to prove it to you once and lives to show you relentlessly.
Bigger

God is bigger than everything! There is nothing He fears. We get hung up on the smallest things, we’re afraid of other’s beliefs or questions and rather than listen and love in truth, we browbeat and declare righteousness. Being right and truth are not necessarily the same thing.
The Spirit of Truth

1John 2:27
But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.
The Holy Spirit is our teacher and He teaches that we need to allow Him to reveal the truth of scripture, to not depend on others for this and for us stay close to Jesus.
Desperately Crave

The connection, the one of a kind relationship and unconditional love that we all desperately crave, can only be found through an intimate relationship with our God, our Creator, our Heavenly Father. It’s out of the abundance of this union that we are able to be a portion of His love to those around us. The beauty of these relationships is deeper and richer than we could’ve hoped for before realizing how God truly feels about us. We can’t help but want those near us to know and experience what we’ve found. We can be the evidence that stands staunchly against the lies that we’re all confronted with each day. We can be the kind of friends and family that we only dreamed we could find.
Our son Max played a song for me yesterday by Ray LaMontagne. It’s about being the kind of friend I so very much want to be and am so thankful to have. The song’s called Let it be Me and I hope you can hear it by clicking here.
Taking Our Thoughts Captive

We can get better and better each day at identifying the lies and calling them out. Scripture calls this taking our thoughts captive: not allowing our minds to entertain the lies that lead to places of insecurity. We can catch these thoughts early, recognize them as the lies that they are and disregard them.
The Mind of Christ

or as the Bible also calls it; renewing your mind, is the ability to recognize the lie and the evidence that seems to be saying you are unloved for what it really is – A LIE! We have to allow God’s perfect love for us to hold its rightful place as truth in our minds and in our hearts and not act out as those who are not loved, trying so hard to get what we already have.
The Evidence

The evidence supporting the lie that you are unloved can be overwhelming. It can come from almost anywhere or anyone. It can pile up so high around you that it’s all you can see or feel. That doesn’t make it true! It just makes it a bigger lie.
