Jesus, not the rules.

Yesterday

Yesterday’s difficulties, mistakes or poor decisions don’t have to rule today. It’s a brand new day full of opportunity and new challenges. Don’t let the weight of the past drag you down. Give your regrets to God and trust Him enough to leave them with Him. Each time you take them back for yourself you’re excluding Him from helping and living in the past. He is the God of right now and this is the very time He wants to spend with you.

How do you Respond?

You’re sitting with some friends and one of them tells you that his neck really hurts; do you:

Tell him how much your leg has been bothering you?

Sympathize and ask how he hurt his neck?

Tell him that you’ll pray for him?

Get up and give him a neck rub and quietly pray?

How often do we make the conversation about us?

How often do we offer a hollow “I’ll pray for you” when we’re right there with the ability to be the answered prayer?

Joining

Lord help me to clearly recognize your voice and to be so familiar with your ways that I don’t miss joining in anything You’re doing today.

Encounter

Someone you come across today is in great need of knowing you care for them. Please don’t miss them. Listen, touch and genuinely care. You may not see the result but it will be supernatural.

Fulfilled

I’ve heard it said that fulfillment in life comes when you discover your purpose. But in addition to that fulfillment lingers as we find purpose in all of our living.

Pieces

There are people that will tear you to pieces, cut you to pieces or leave you in pieces. There are others that will help you pick up the pieces. We all get to choose which we’re going to be for those around us.

You’ve Got a Friend

Jesus is the name to call on when you’re feeling lonely, hurt and unloved as so many are today. And while His love for you is enough, it won’t be the only love you’ll find. He’ll bring special friends around to love and encourage you. Call His name out loud, let people know you are hurting if they’re cold they weren’t friends if they come running, let them in.

You made my day

Don’t you love to hear those words? You will have the chance to make someone’s day today. Don’t miss it. They may not tell you how much it means to them but it’s still pretty great.

The persons around us are hurting, let’s put our pain aside and help ease theirs.
