When you’re down and troubled and you need a helping hand and nothing, nothing is going right.
You’ve got a friend.
When the sky above you turns dark and full of clouds and that old North wind begins to howl.
You’ve got a friend.
Ain’t it good to know that you’ve got a friend when people can be so cold, they’ll hurt you and desert you, they’ll take your soul if you let them, but don’t you let them. – Carol King

Jesus is the name to call on when you’re feeling lonely, hurt and unloved as so many are today. And while His love for you is enough, it won’t be the only love you’ll find. He’ll bring special friends around to love and encourage you. Call His name out loud, let people know you are hurting if they’re cold they weren’t friends if they come running, let them in.

We each so desire to be connected, I came across this statement from Bob Lefsetz (thank you Darren) and it really tells how the world around us feels.

“It’s dark inside my mind. Do you get that feeling? That there’s a plethora of stimuli surrounding you but there’s a force field between you and the rest of the universe? That you’re locked inside your head and you can’t break out? That no one understands you and you’re dying to make a connection but it’s impossible? I feel that way all the time. My whole life is about trying to eradicate this feeling, I’m trying to make a connection.”

We can be the solution if we will.

The sun is always shining somewhere. Clouds come and go, sometimes they are so dark and dense it feels like they’ll never leave, but they will. Knowing the Son is there no matter the storm, gets us through.
