You can count on it. Whatever the circumstance, whatever the difficulty, He can and wants to, make something fantastic from it. A life of ease is hardly worth living though that’s too often what we seek. A life without challenge gets old fast. The key is embracing the struggle, challenging ourselves and looking for God in the middle of it all.

Fourteen years ago one of my all time favorite sons was born. The circumstances leading up to that day caused us to cling to God like never before and every day since Max, you’ve brought us joy, caused our trust in The Lord to remain strong and been such an incredible blessing to everyone that knows you. Thank you for being who you are, thank you for your soft heart and thank you for the love you share so freely.

Bob Goff’s “Love Does”
“I used to think I could shape the circumstances around me, but now I know Jesus uses circumstances to shape me.”
What can I learn here Lord, is always a great question to ask no matter the circumstance. There is always more of God to be found in good as well as difficult times.
Too Much

We all come to the Lord and move closer to Him through fire. It’s the difficult circumstances and seasons we find ourselves in that help us see how much we need Him. It’s also in these times that His ability to see us through is most evident. If we could handle everything on our own, our relationship and understanding of Him would be superficial at best. So when you are in the middle or better yet at the beginning of an overwhelming situation and it feels like it’s just too much for you, it probably is. But peace, comfort and relief can be found in knowing that there is nothing that’s too much for you and God together.

There are times when life can be completely overwhelming, we feel like we couldn’t do anything right if our life depended on it, we may be isolated, afraid and full of doubt and the last thing that comes to mind is being thankful. But that’s exactly what we need to do. Even if we can only find one thing to truly be grateful for, it can be the thing that opens the door to hope. With God there is always hope and through hope comes change. Change in our outlook and change in our circumstance.
