Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. Galatians 5:1

Religion teaches our bondage is to sin, Jesus teaches our bondage is to religion.

…that all men are created equal. The key word here is created. Adam and Eve were equal in the garden but it wasn’t until Jesus came that equality was reintroduced to the world. To this day the only places that put any value in equality are those based on His teachings. Freedom, equality and democracy are all intertwined but apart from Christ they will not work. If you want to change the world, you have to do it one heart at a time.

Anywhere you spot God is incredible. My favorite is when I see Him in our children.

Every time you cross my mind, I break out in exclamations of thanks to God. Each exclamation is a trigger to prayer. I find myself praying for you with a glad heart. I am so pleased that you have continued on in this with us, believing and proclaiming God’s Message, from the day you heard it right up to the present. There has never been the slightest doubt in my mind that the God who started this great work in you would keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish on the very day Christ Jesus appears. It’s not at all fanciful for me to think this way about you. My prayers and hopes have deep roots in reality. You have, after all, stuck with me all the way from the time I was thrown in jail, put on trial, and came out of it in one piece. All along you have experienced with me the most generous help from God. He knows how much I love and miss you these days. Sometimes I think I feel as strongly about you as Christ does!

Another certain message from God and it’s certain each and every day is, LOVE! Love Him, love others that’s our constant communication from The Lord. Anything else we hear from Him will always include love. As we’ve mentioned before this means putting God and others before ourselves, being considerate of those around us and representing Christ to our world.

As we’ve been exploring what a Christ filled life might look like we’ve asked ourselves some pretty tough questions for the purpose of exposing our selfishness, as this is the biggest hindrance to the life God wants for us. When we are at the center of our world, when everything is about and for us, the result is a life with a lot of worthless filler. If we can recognize this and admit our barrenness we make room for God to fill the spot in us that He intended from the start.

This year’s wonderful Easter celebration is behind us but we get to take its good news with us today and each day hereafter. Christ’s restoration to the Father is our invitation to an intimate relationship that does not need to wait until we get to heaven. Because of what took place on the day He rose we can experience God in every area of our lives. He wants nothing more than to share in each moment of our day and every day.

We commemorate the two greatest events in human History this weekend and it’s wonderful that we make a big deal out the death and resurrection of our Lord each year. But what if we took the celebration to a whole new level? What if throughout each day we took to heart the perfect love that Christ’s sacrifice demonstrated and were perpetually thankful? What if we walked through each day with the confidence that Jesus’ resurrection truly did finish it, that the battle is won and that our place with the Father is just as secure as His? Now that would be a Holyday.

Scripture says, “Stand fast in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.” We don’t have to let the same old things keep us from the freedom God intends for us. Standing fast means putting the burden in His hands and leaving it there.
