I used this term yesterday and have since heard some great things on the concept. Our culture tends to encourage that which comes easy. We elevate the “naturally talented” and bring the student that gets it easily, to the front of the class. Other cultures elevate those that overcome, encouraging the battle we must wage in order to accomplish that which doesn’t come naturally. What might God have for you to overcome?

The Better Thing

I no longer feel like I’m overcoming anything. In fact, I don’t even feel like I’m enduring it with grace. Really struggling right now to find meaning in any of it.
